7/4/07: Been working on the Old Gal at least once a week, try to put in at least 4 hrs each time, so there is some progress, gutted the car, pressure washed it inside and out, pulled the wheel cylinders and master cylinder, they're ok for a rebuild, NAPA even had the rebuild kits.....

Pulled the upholstery off the front and rear seat springs, springs pretty good, some surface rust, will clean and paint. The original upholstery, in very bad shape, was still there under the "newer" seat covers some previous owner had installed. This car is very original, but IMO not worth a resto, maybe that's 'cause I'm just not a resto kind of guy....

As you probably saw on page 1, the wheels were a mess....

Oven cleaner on the hub caps took off some stuff, had to resort to four ought steel wool and chrome cleaner with lots of elbow grease:

The caps came out pretty nice, they are the original '55 caps for this car, showing "patina" dents, etc, but I really like the way they cleaned up....

Sand blasted the rims and applied por15, will top coat later when I decide on a color.
