Needed a rear safety driveshaft hoop, so started digging through the scrap pile.....
Hacked off a piece of some old rusty 6" pipe out behind the shop, still pretty thick, at least a 1/4", pulled some old 1"x1/4" scrap outta the pile, welded shut some holes in it, whacked on some 1" x 1/4" angle, matched up and drilled some holes for the pinion flange bolts (had a spare I could use to mock up the holes), and welded it solid.....
As this is the rear end of the driveshaft, I had to cut and bolt in a drop out section in order to be able to access and pull the driveshaft......
Some grinding to smooth it out and some paint, and it will be good to go.....
Got 'em both painted and installed, here's a couple pix....
